Description -
This professionally created webpage demonstrates personal strengths identified over the past several years as an Educational Technology graduate student at James Madison University. Since the purpose of this webpage is to determine and validate the learner’s experiences, not only does this Web Page provide personal reflection statements, but viewers have the opportunity to review objective-aligned work. The audience will also encounter many of the learner’s personal, related interests that continue to expand knowledge of educational technology ideologies. This knowledge initiates positive change and flexibility while innovating new techniques and design principles into daily work (Objective 1, 6, and 7).
Although a professional webpage builder was used (i.e. hosted by Wix), there were hand coded design features embedded within the website as well (image labeled "Current Portfolio"). This means that the designer used both editing features and tools available on the Wix, and web-based languages to create this Web Page. The knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript was self-taught using various online video tutorials, You Tube videos, and text book resources (Objective 1, 6, 7, and 9).
